Our Mission & Our Vision
The New Mexico District Export Council empowers New Mexico companies to succeed in international markets. Our mission is to expand global trade opportunities that strengthen the state’s economy, create jobs, and highlight the innovation and quality of New Mexico-made products.
We support exports across all major New Mexico industries, including agricultural technology, space, industrial goods, computer and electronic equipment, machinery, energy, specialized chemical products, defense, and aerospace. In partnership with the New Mexico Department of Agriculture/International Market Office, we also advance agricultural exports such as dairy products (including cheese and whey), tree nuts, and other goods that reflect the strength and diversity of New Mexico’s economy. These efforts are carried out in collaboration with the Economic Development New Mexico Office of International Trade.
Through education, advocacy, and global business development, the Council works to position New Mexico as a world-class leader in international commerce, innovation, manufacturing, agriculture, and technology exports. The Council recognizes that the mission can only be accomplished through public and private partnerships.
